Why do people make such rubbish?

I was sifting through the movies in my laptop when I stopped by a Bollywood movie named Hate Story 3. I, usually, never watch such senseless and whimsical thrillers added with a hell lot of steamy scenes (just to force hormone driven people into the theaters) coupled with unwanted and irrelevant song sequences, BUT just for a change (tired of watching Hollywood movies in row), I thought of trying this random MP4 that I must had borrowed from some one's storage drive. I can't believe my patience that I wasted 2 hours of my life in watching this torturing experiment of some Bollywood director.

Those who have watched this movie must be knowing that Aditya Deewan is being portrayed as a hero while Gaurav Singhania is seen as a vamp initially. But in the later half of the movie it turns out that he was the nice guy who was trying to take revenge from Aditya and his wife to have rendered his best friend Vickram Deewan handicapped in an attempt to kill him. But the logic fails to find a place when he kills more innocent people like Kaya and another man who was driving the car when that old acolyte of Gaurav was siphoning off dead Kaya's body. Do you kill two innocent people for your vendetta of a handicapped friend whose condition has nothing to do with these two dead people? Gaurav-the-nice-guy is being awarded the title of "tu he mera bhai hai" by an emotionally happy Vickram in the climax which brings out the fact that Gaurav did nothing wrong by killing Kaya and the driver in addition to Aditya and Siya.

Now I really think all the song sequences were forcefully added to the movie for which some irrelevant pre-song lines were intentionally added. And oh that second song sang by Mica Singh with some 3rd grade dance moves made me wonder what is up with the Bollywood.
Wajah tum ho - seduce me Siya if you want to save your husband;
Isaq mera tu - "par ab meri yahi wajah ab tumhe aur kareeb se jaan ne ki ho gyi hai", Siya to Gaurav.
Tumhe apna banane ka junoon - "Bhagwaan ne mujhe Aditya jesa jeevan saathi diya", Siya in an interview.
Another song sequence in which Kaya is seen clubbing was perhaps added because the music director had a spare song left, so he fitted it somewhere.

Talk about acting, I really used to like Sharman Joshi for 3 Idiots before watching this movie. Zareen Khan and the newcomer Daisy Shah can not be blamed for they are like that from time immemorial. Here Karan Singh Grover turns out to be the winner (he is obviously sexy from the time of Dil Mil Gaye) for his good acting.

So it can be said that I regretted choosing Bollywood over Hollywood from my laptop collection. BDW I watched Pink, Parched, MS Dhoni, Dangal and Happy Bhaag Jaegi (all of these were borrowed from others' storage devices), and I liked all of them. Parched being my favorite.

Dear Salman Khan, GO DIE!

I am sure this hypothetical harping by a random blogger is not going to affect you nor are you going to know that a 23-year-old not-so-non-common girl have blogged about you in the first place..BUT.. I knew no other way to put my grieving heart to peace than writing this away.

You came clean in yet another long-pending case against you of yet another crime. You made people believe that you didn't kill that poor Black Buck just as you were not driving that car that fateful day which made some poor people regret their sleeping on the pavements. This yet another influenced-by-power judgement acquitting you for a crime that, everyone knows, you indeed have committed has grinded my already broken faith in the Indian judicial system under its heels into shreds.

I personally feel you are the last thing that should have ever happened to Bollywood. Now there are several reasons that make me find you a tad less desirable to the Bollywood industry you have been using to feed your luxury.

To start with, you are antithetical to the concept of being SELF-MADE. You have this stardom just because you were born with your less-than-average looks to a self-made man named Salim Khan who struggled his way to being an actor and a screenwriter in this industry. So you had everything ready on the platter to be served to you. And then some very good directors/producers of that time happened to sign you in their movies(reasons may vary from you being talented to you being a star-kid) with some marvellous beauties of that time that again happened to be hits. And now the scenario is - even if you act in a baseless, useless, story-less, acting-less and a lifeless movie like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, your fans will still make it a hit.

When you are grooving with your deformed moves in your movies or on stage, even a blind person can discern how some of the most talented people, who are unfortunately dancing at your back but 200% better than you, deserve to be in your front.

I don't know what people find enticing in that nincompoopish towel-gimmick of yours, but I find it nerve-gratingly below-the-belt and useless. I get so surprised on seeing people clapping merrily when you are pulling that towel to-and-fro between your legs. I am like what's so funny and, what's wrong with the sense-of-humour of my fellow countrymen?

Not forgetting your irresponsible and illogical statements - like "I felt as if I was raped" - that reaffirms my belief that you are a darn insensitive person.

Further I believe you are culpable of forcing scumbags like Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan - who after trying their hands in acting became producers(off course you have a lot of money!) - to the Indian audience just because these extravagant losers were/are your biological brothers. I still remember watching Maine Dil Tujhko Diya when I was not-so-grown-up. The actress, the story, the direction - everything melted my heart except for the lead actor who I thought could have been avoided.

You so unabashedly insult, beat and thrash your fans who go crazy about you in crowds. This tells a lot about your complacent self and how cruel you are when it comes to treating poor people, fans or be it speechless animals.

Being Human foundation which you run in the name of charity is actually a disguised prop that you had used to plea a bail when you were about to be convicted the last time. Moreover, only 8-10% of profit from Being Human clothing goes to the foundation. Isn't it hypocrisy?

P.S - I don't know if this only happens with me that every time I end up writing about something that is bothering me, the pain dwindles manifold.

Another pattern in Punjabi songs

Well there is this concept prevalent in Punjabi songs in which a poor boy is harping on his extravagant and extremely rich girlfriend. Here is a list..

1. Oh dady g di cash utte kari jave aish..saada bapu jimmidaar kithon leke deve car..(My gf is having a merry time spending his father's money, but my father can't afford a car.)
2. Saari family de kapde aajande..jinne di tei jean kuriye..(Old song but relatable)
3. Mera kehda baapu karda black ni..jehda tere shehar lae lava flat ni..(My father doesn't own black money for me to be able to purchase a flat in your town..okay?)
4. Mai raahi chandigarh daa shonki padhne da..ohdi chitti lancer vad di jaye faahe ni..(My crush owns a Lancer car while I go to my college on cycle.)

To be continued..

I don't buy this argument

I happened to post a video on my Facebook timeline in which Saudi Arabian women are seen demanding equal rights for themselves irrespective of the Guardianship system. I wrote the following line with that video:"I am so lucky that I am born in INDIA and not in SA". To this I got a comment from a former college mate of mine which brewed the following discussion. I am quoting the verbatim -

His comment

My comment - I don't understand what point are you trying to make through this comment - whether you are pointing out the mentality of Indian politicians or what? But if you are saying that India is also a bad place for women then I must say that it is better than SA at least, because you see we are still allowed to travel and drive cars without carrying a male relative!

His comment

Again the same point which I have tried to make people of India understand a lot many times but ... and I seriously don't care if I'm bashed for that ... the only reason I try is coz I have lived 23 years in that country and still I'm holder of republic of India passport so I do wish for it to progress and be a liberal open minded society ... I don't wanna see it ruining itself in front of my eyes ... regarding patriotism or nationalism I don't believe in any ... neither I was proud to be Indian or never I will be proud to be CANADIAN coz these are man made identities ... i m happy I was born in a stable region on earth but in the same region people are struggling for one time meal ... and the point I wanted to make above was that Saudi Arabia is not at all a standard for comparison ... Indians have this problem of comparing themselves with 3rd world countries like Saudi Arabia or Pakistan and then they feel they are doing good ... nooo ... on HDI India lags much behind ... our human rights score is worst ... sexual violence is a norm nowadays... I don't curse Canada coz I'm actually seeing this country and women don't think before going out at night ... it's not that this is perfect country ... sexual violence occurs over here too but PM Justin Trudeau is always accepting that and trying to get rid of it ... in subways you are gonna blacks Asians south Asians whites ... hijabi Muslims Jewish people all in equal number ... this is what tolerance is ... and trust me in past few years India 's international image has hit an all time low ... my music teacher said ," you could get lynched in India for eating beef " ... one musician friend said ," a right wing Hindu party is ruling your country right ?" ... one gentleman asked me about Delhi rape case ... do you imagine where India is heading with this ... and there was a time when people would associate this country with non violence ... and m sorry m not a mahaan person so I would prefer not to waste my days in trying to make these people understand all this and again they come up with something like bengaluru case and to make it worst statements of our ministers...

I don't believe in any after life and I also don't believe in any nationalism ... so I would prefer to start a good life here and wish that someday my daughter opens her eyes in this society ... and if you can also help needy from over here ... infact I would love to make myself that much successful that m able to help those people who deserve to be here but coz of financial limitations they are not able to do so ... many Canadians are sponsoring Syrian refugees ... I hope someday I'm also able to serve humanity like this and also live a good life..

My comment -  I am really happy for you that you have finally got rid off this very bad country which indeed lags behind in HDI, women safety etc. I hope you become a permanent NRI someday and call more people like you to Canada (which is already a second home to Punjabis who couldn't get anything good out of their lives here  ..I can speak endlessly on Canada obsessed Punjabis..lol). No offence  It's great to get a chance to explore the world and think of settling there. You indeed got a chance to leave this disgusting country..this is really awesome, but you see crores of Indians who can not get such chances and are serving this country(by choice or by fate) have hopes from this 3rd world country. NEVER destroy their hopes for half of this world is surviving on hopes. You don't believe in nationalism and hence don't give a damn about changing this useless nation - good for you. But please don't kill the optimism of the people of my country who want to serve it. There are several people who are living away from their loved ones to ensure this nation's safety..don't kill their/ their families' hopes. Don't waste your time and energy in harping/complaining..You ll not make any change in the thought process through this...Enjoy CANADA. ATB!

His comments - well I clearly see that spirit in eyes of a girl who is afraid to go out at night ( and no way secure during day time either ) ... I have seen the spirit when a man carries dead body of his wife for several kilometres just for cremation ... and if u r not satisfied with this spirit then their are so called intellectuals ( which are drastically increasing these days ... No offence  ) who were born with much more than an average indian could earn , and talk about nationalism patriotism and how great their country is , just because they were born on that region of land controlled by a specific government ....And I won't be available for any further discussion on this coz I know questioning nationalism in that region ( India and Pakistan ) could cost you a lot..

                                                                                 ------------------------------

P.S. I am not going to reply anything to this guy after this. Let him stay happy with his views. But I really DON'T BUY HIS ARGUMENT! I think he wants everyone to leave India and shift to Canada. No? Oh LOL..he eventually deleted his comments from my post. I don't understand how people behave.

I am scared

I am scared to explore for the list of crimes against women is long.
I am scared to trust new people for it may render me a mong.
I am scared to believe in my dreams for following them may prove me WRONG.
I am scared to see the increasing numbers in my age causing 'its' imminence.
I am scared to kill the child within me for I will lose my innocence.
I also scare the sight of an ambulance.
I am scared to tell my parents that even if I am a girl - I am wise enough to evolve.
I am scared to fall in love - I am scared to get involved.
I am scared to look good - I am scared to be judged.
I am scared to leave my loved ones behind,
I am scared to not being able to keep their expectations.
I am scared to be a she - I am scared to be me.

I am scared, oh yes I do get scared sometimes,
But is there anything WRONG* in being scared?
Well then, I am scared to be scared!

Note:
WRONG - This word is vast and indefinable. Because what is wrong for some, is right for others. For example, car driving by women is considered wrong in Saudi Arabia.

Women's safety manual

Pink is a 2016 Bollywood movie which I finished watching recently(a bit late of course). It's one of the movies that got me wondering at the social set up of my country yet again. Amitabh Bachan's character aptly brings forth the hypocrisy of Indian society that comes with a SAFETY MANUAL for women. Several RULES described in the movie are as follows :-

Rule no. 1 - A girl should never go ANYWHERE alone with a boy. Anywhere means a resort, a hotel room for using a toilet or for any other purpose. Else she is herself responsible if her modesty is outraged.
Rule no. 2 - A girl should never get frank with a boy or touch him while talking for this will become a hint/invitation for the boy to rape her.
Rule no. 3 - Never walk alone at night, because in this country a girl's character gets decided by the hands of a clock.
"Hmare desh me ghadi ki suyiyan ek ladki ka character decide krti hain."
Rule no. 4 - Drinking is a measure of girls' character while for boys, it's just a health hazard. Terms and conditions differ for both genders. Because if a girl will drink then she is bound to be sexually available, that's what boys will perceive about her.

P.S. The movie tells the importance of CONSENT. "Because NO means NO. No matter the person who says it is your friend, girl friend, a sex worker or even your own wife. When someone says so - STOP!!"

Punjabi singers, what are you upto?

Punjabi singers can never stop giving me reasons to hate them more than before. What kind of lyrics do they come up with every time? Self proclaiming themselves as very powerful angry young men/Gabru jawaan/ kharku or whatever. But for heaven's sake, this is what our Punjabi youth is learning and imbibing. I mean how else do you expect the youth of Punjab to behave when you make such nauseatingly disgusting songs?

1. Vakh vakh asle di rakhi poori range, ik do maheene baad karidi aa change
Mauser, pistal, 32 bor, 12 bor, asle de sir te ni, bahawan ch vi poora jor
Modheyan te rakh hatheyar gabru, mafia mandeer tere yaar gabru
Nit nave bhalde shikaar gabru
Mitran nu shaunk, goliyan chalon da, bai goliyan chalon da, bai goliyan chalon da
Mitran nu shaunk, goliyan chalon da...

(I have a range of guns and weapons. Mafia people are my friends. I love shooting people.)

Well done Diljit Dosanjh. I am so proud of you!

2. Shehar vich ajj hundi charcha, hoya 302 da parcha
Kitey rabba na bhulaya, foka zor na vikhaya
Rabba na bhulaya, foka zor na vikhaya
Game saari te sikhanjha leya kas ni
Velleyan di akh ajj laal aye
Koi banda bunda maarna taan das ni...

(I have been charged with section 302 of IPC several times which accounts for the punishment for murder. So don't worry babe, I am red with rage today, tell me if you want to get some one killed.)

I want to get Honey Singh killed. Please?

3. Uss mauke te singhan di
Talwar boldi ae
Uss mauke te surmeyan di
Riffle boldi ae...

(Sword and Riffle, I have them all.)

Dear Jazzy B, fantastic. Keep it up. BTW, what's with this nastily weird acronym you have converted your name into?

4. aa ve paade o v paade
peen to kade v thakde ni kaka
kadi hoyi daru ehda wakhra e saroor
chaa naal leyaya veer peeni e jaroor ajj challu 12 bor jehri hath vich chakki aa
kadd yaara kad jehri gaddi vich rakhi aaa..

(I never get tired of drinking alcohol. Don't mess with me or else I will shoot you with my 12 bore gun.)

Oh you are such a macho man you fat-head Honey Singh!

5. Daaru ko main dudhu ki tarah pee jaaun
Apni peeun tabhi to mota peg banaaun
Peg banaaun kabhi naap ke nahin
Apni peeun kisi ke baap ki nahin
Main Alcoholic hoon
Haan main alcoholic hoon...

(I am a proud alcoholic.)

Akshay kumar, you too?

P.S. So is this all what Punjab is about? Daru, ladkiyan and crimes? Is this how we want the world to perceive us? DIG DEEPER people!
